Future Concerns

2026

 – Bonaire: In August of 2026, we plan to return to Bonaire to conduct comparative population density surveys for fish, invertebrates and coral. We will then compare this data with that of 2023 and 2025. Firther, we will access the spread of Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease afflicting the corals. We will be working with STINAPA, Bonaire’s marine park department, to access the need for mangrove, seagrass and coral restoration.
