Conservation Efforts

for 2025

• May 4: Feast, Flowers and Frogs: A Restoration & Tour of the Edge of the Farm Conservation Area (Free Event)
  • Restoration Project: Those interested in assisting with the Restoration Project, please arrive at 2:30pm. You are invited to stay for dinner and the following ecology hike. Wear appropriate clothing to work in the forest and closed-toed shoes. Gloves and equipment will be provided.
  • Wetland/Forest tour: For those who can only attend the dinner and ecology hike, please arrive by 5:00 pm. We will provide the fixings for a dinner that you will roast in aluminum foil over a fire. From 7pm-8:30pm, we will hike the wetland and forest, learning the ecology from Dr. Donna McCollum:   20 people.

  • Details: An at-cost trip; each person pays the cost for their own food, park pass, transportation and half the cost of canoe rental. No guide fee or tip is required, but would be appreciated, as all tips go toward fulfilling the mission of Reef Expeditions to save aquatic ecosystems around the world. • Sept 14: Wetland excursion to the Edge of the Farm in Oxford, Ohio with Drs. Hays Cummins and Donna McCollum; a restoration project review and Sunflower bloom event; dinner and drinks provided
• September 19-27: Bonaire Research Expedition Guided by Jamey Vogel
